So, this is the first posting on Owen's blog. This will be trial and error (hopefully, not too many) for a while - please be patient.

Owen slept well last night. More precisely, he did not fuss each time he woke up to eat. That really makes all the difference (at least from my side of the sleep equation). The nights when Owen wakes up, eats efficiently and then goes back to sleep it are much easier on me - even if he is waking up more often - than those nights where he sleeps for longer but then fusses for an hour (or more). Last night was a good night... plus we both caught a good cat nap mid-afternoon today.

Owen had a sponge bath this morning and then was dressed in an outfit from his Grandma & Grandpa G. His cord has still not fallen off. I expect it will any day now. On that day, we are looking forward to giving him his first real bath. Hopefully he'll like taking baths and we can use them to calm him before bed.

Scott, Owen and I went to Trader Joes tonight to pick up some groceries. He was not keen on staying in his carseat so he went through the store in my or Scott's arms. It would have been good if I brought the sling with me, but I haven't quite gotten the hang of it. In this case, I bet it would have been really useful.

Well, here are some photos from today. I was fiddling with the camera and thought I'd try out the sepia feature. I think it is a nice close-up photo of our little baby boy (but what photo of Owen wouldn’t I love). Also posted is a picture of Scott soothing Owen.
