Well, it is now day 3 of our blog journey and we already missed one day's posting! Yesterday was not such a good day. Owen was quite fussy all day (and the previous night). There was nothing to be done throughout the day except try to comfort and feed Owen. Fortunately his demeanor changed late in the day yesterday and we all got a good night's rest and started today off in the right direction.
This morning Owen spent much of the time in the sling. It is still a bit unfamiliar for all of us, but we figure the more we use it, the better we'll get at it. Today Owen "rode" around on Mom in the upright position while she did some laundry and baked banana bread. Owen was very content the whole time - even during the electric mixer! I think he likes it.
Another thing Owen is growing more and more fond of is his mobile. We think he can now see the colors (probably just the black and white bits). It even seems as if he is tracking the mobile around as it spins. He loves spending time staring at the mobile -- it even comforts him sometimes when nothing else works.
We are now getting ready to go for a walk around Lake Braddock with Christine and Jake. We're hoping to get out there before the rain comes... It still is unseasonably warm here. I'd like to take advantage of the nice weather as much as we can.
