Our little working man

In the past two days, Owen has visited both his mom's and dad's offices!

Yesterday, we stopped by the USCG for a little while when waiting for Christine & Jake to go for a walk. The folks at TISCOM celebrated an unofficial baby day -- Owen and Jake were greeted with warm smiles from all (even Burt despite his germ phobia). It was a beautiful day yesterday and we enjoyed walking around the trail at the base. However, the walk revealed how dreadfully out of shape I am... I was out of breath and my legs were sore this morning!

Today, we went to APCO to pack up my office before the big move. I'll be sad to leave my old office. It was so nice and light since I had such big windows the opened onto L Street. In my new office, the windows will open up to an alley (at least I still have windows and a door). Besides, it will be strange to go back to work to a whole new office. It will really be a new beginning.

After packing up all my stuff (really, just watching Bryan and Mia pack up my stuff!), Bryan and I went down to the Art Institute to see JT's final portfolio presentation. It was a surprise to him that Owen & I were coming! It was nice to surprise him... and his display was awesome. I am so proud of JT for all his hard work and expect he'll do great as a graphic designer.

On our way to the AI, we nearly got sideswiped by a taxi. My quick reflexes (I swerved up onto the sidewalk) and slippery roads spared us. Bryan was so angry, though, and wanted to go yell at the other driver. Instead, I just drove away (shaken but just fine).

I have been trying to read "Front Page for Dummies" so I can update our website with more pictures of Owen. It is slow going. The instructions make sense, I just don't really know what I need to do to get the website as I'd like it. It'll take some time but I am not giving up on it.
