When I woke up today, I decided it was pajama day. That is, I planned not to take a shower, put in my contacts or fix myself up. I don't know why... usually I love to take a shower - it is a good break from the baby for a while. But today I decided not to shower so my stinky self is homebound until tomorrow. It is probably a mistake - and I may later retreat to the shower - since Scott is working his last day from home today. I should take advantage of that as much as possible before I am left on my own for the next few months.
While I spend most of the day with Owen when Scott is working from home, I am still a bit worried about being able to handle it all on my own next week. It is good to have Scott around - to help with Owen or just to have someone to talk with. It is really tiring the days Scott is at work - and now doing that 5 days a week will be tough. Luckily Scott finishes work relatively early in the day and will have every other Friday off.
Owen and I went to my office yesterday to meet everyone. He was so well behaved the whole time (except for a short outburst when he met the chairman... but everyone does that!). Everyone was so kind to him and said such nice things. I was happy to get such a warm reception.
I took Owen in to see a nurse practitioner yesterday. I called the office to talk about his crabbiness and spit-uppiness and they said to come in. I didn't really want to - because I figured it was normal and, if it wasn't, was apprehensive to put him on any medications. But I went anyway. The NP we saw was very nice and said all was fine. He probably has a mild virus, which is causing the mucous, but it should resolve itself soon with little harm. Also, it is probably making him fussy (it definitely is).
We got our additional cloth diapers yesterday. We now have about 25 cloth diapers -- enough to not make me have to do laundry every day. We also received some enviro-friendly detergent, cloth wipes and some soap for the cloth wipes. As best as I can, I am trying to care for this baby in a enviro-friendly way and health-conscious. So far it has been working with little extra effort -- and with great success. It gets challenging in that the more I try the more I realize there is we can do... I guess that is true in many of life's situations. We'll do what we can and hope for the best.

Uncles Ken & Todd have you on their site! How cool are they?!

p.s. aunt denise had a great first day at her new job today! (i love you little bug)
Glad to hear you guys are so enviro-friendly. Doing that surely adds balance to the univere as I will continue to pour Tide all over a big pile of unused Huggies and throw them haphazardly into the woods near my house.
