I'm a slacker

Well, either I am a real slacker... or been really busy. In the truth, it's probably a combination of the two.

Well it's Memorial Day and I am in the office. I've been back to work - on my part-time schedule - for two weeks and already I've been to NYC on business and into the office on weekends and holidays (2 days).

I am preparing for a meeting I have to go to tomorrow - yes that is one of my regular days off. I have to meet with some colleagues at 2pm so I thought I would come in a bit early and do some other work. Instead I am typing on the blog.

While I'm at it, here's a quick update on us: Owen is growing big and drooling (teething) a lot. Owen seems to be having a hard time napping lately, which makes him quite cranky. Yesterday he kicked up a fuss whenever he wasn't being held upright. Not much a problem most days but yesterday I had a headache that wouldn't quit (his crying didn't help). At 8pm, I was at my wit's end and decided to take him for a drive to make him fall asleep. Fortunately that worked - but only for a while. When he finally fell asleep for the night, he slept for a long time (longer than usual).

I feel bad for the little man. I think he is not used to the changing schedule -- with me back to work and him at day care. Hopefully when we have the nanny at our house, the schedule will be a bit more seamless. We'll see...

I am going to get to work... since I am away from my little man I better make it worth it!
