This Halloween brought an important parenting lesson: make sure you have reservations/the park is open/etc before promising to go. I got Owen all dressed up in his outfit the day before Halloween and took him (and Dad & Anna) to the farm for a Halloween event. Come to find out when we arrived that we needed reservations and they wouldnt let us join. Owen was sad not to see the animals but luckily didn't really understand what he missed. Thank goodness for that... we went to get burgers instead!
Once Owen trick-or-treated at two houses he got the hang of it and insisted that he do it himself. We had to wait on the sidewalk while he knocked and got his treats. He was very cute and most of the time he knew to say "treak or treat"... but often forgot to say "thank you" without some prompts!
